About this product
A clinically formulated pigment-correcting treatment containing 2% hydroquinone, the maximum non-prescription strength available in Canada. This targeted formula is designed to reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, including dark spots, age spots, melasma, and uneven skin tone.
Hydroquinone works by inhibiting melanin production, helping to visibly fade existing discolouration while preventing the formation of new pigmentation. When used as directed, this treatment helps promote a clearer, more even, and brighter complexion.
Key Ingredients / Technology
- Hydroquinone 2%: Clinically recognized gold-standard ingredient for reducing hyperpigmentation by inhibiting melanin production
- Emollient Base: Supports even application and enhances tolerability during treatment
Indications / Benefits
- Fades the appearance of dark spots and discoloration
- Targets melasma and uneven skin tone
- Promotes a clearer, brighter complexion
- Provides targeted spot correction
- Medical-grade, clinically proven ingredient
How to Use
Apply 1–3 times per week, or as directed by your skincare professional.
Apply a small amount as a spot treatment to affected areas only, on clean, dry skin. Do not apply to the entire face unless directed by a professional.
For enhanced results, may be paired with ZO Skin Health Pigment Control + Blending Crème for more diffuse, full-face correction.
Important Usage Guidelines
- Daily use of a broad-spectrum SPF is mandatory during treatment
- Limit continuous use to no more than 5 months, followed by a 2–3 month break
- Consult a physician prior to use, especially for long-term treatment plans
- Avoid use on irritated or compromised skin
Post-Procedure Use
Do not use immediately following professional treatments (such as lasers, microneedling, or chemical peels). Resume only once the skin has fully healed and under professional guidance.

⛔ Phase 3: Break / Cycling (2–3 Months OFF)

- Discontinue hydroquinone after maximum 5 months continuous use
- Transition to non-hydroquinone brighteners, such as:
- ZO Skin Health Brightalive Skin Brightener
- SkinMedica Lytera 2.0 Pigment Correcting Serum
- Maintain results with:
- Antioxidants
- Retinol (if tolerated)
- Strict SPF use
🔁 Phase 4: Maintenance / Long-Term Strategy

- Always use under professional guidance for best outcomes
💡 Pro Tips
- Pigmentation often returns without maintenance—this is normal
